TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY

(1991) dir. James Cameron; 137 min.

Friday, October 16th & Saturday, October 17th @ 7 & 9:30pm

Sunday, October 18th @ 3pm

The year of hype that accompanied this film was pop culture madness. A new Guns ‘N Roses single! Super Duper Fast Food Tie-ins! This sequel brought the promise of mind-blowing special effects that were going to take what we had seen in the Abyss to the next level. Arnold comes back to present day, but this time he’s been sent to protect John Conner from the new advanced robot enemy. What’s so advanced about this new Terminator? Well, it seems to be made of Mercury and can “flow” anywhere, take any shape, and mimic voices. It’s a super enemy and the movie spends most of its time in chase mode with one action sequence following another. Not a film that’s played often enough, this will be a big screen treat and a gentle reminder of how great the 90s were.
